Art Basel Miami 2009

20Dec09

After five long years of desire and fairs gone by, I finally made it to Art Basel Miami this December!  Fortunately, I have great friends (past FIT graduate school classmates: Lori Zimmer and Lydia Barry Kutko) that were all interested in participating in the festivities.  After taking over 500 pictures, here’s a day by day montage of the art consumed in Miami this year!

Thursday 12/3/09: Deitch Project’s Wynwood Walls & STAGES Livestrong (Lance’s) Party

Friday 12/3/09: Art Basel Miami Beach Art Fair 2009, Miami Convention Center, FL

Saturday 12/5/09: SCOPE Miami, Rubell Collection, PULSE Miami

SCOPE Miami Art Fair 12/5/09

Rubell Family Collection 12/5/09

PULSE Miami Art Fair 12/5/09

Did I mention I had art for sale in Miami? I’m currently promoting three artists near and dear to me that I plan to advance their artistic career via increasing visibility, sales, and exhibition opportunities.

  1. One of the most in-depth montages of what was on view at Basel I’ve seen to date! I’m sitting down to enjoy this visual feast all over again.

I’ve got an image up of a lot less Basel type scene chez moi. It just gets me into the Christmas mood. What are you up to for the holidays?

    • Didn’t you take some cute pictures of us at the Deitch event? I have so few of us four hanging out so I’m looking forward to when they resurface. I’m chillin’ in the B-Lo for X-Mas this week, going visit some family, parties and whatnot. Lori should be here soon, looks like Miami is going to become an annual tradition! What about you?

  2. Very nice info.
    Thank you,
    Nikos
